Long overdue update

A lot has gone on since my last post:

 

Framing done

Rough Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Prewire for network and distributed audio.

Drywall, garage door, Roof, Concrete in garage, and drywall finishing started..

 

Siding is slated for next week.

Progress!!!

Framing started on Friday and they seem to be progressing nicely.

I got approval to do my LV wiring last week so it looks like all of the pieces are beginning to fall into place. After moving from my old home and setting up temporary residence at my in-laws I'm looking forward to a week or so of semi-normal life.

 



 

Not much to report except a lumber delivery. Supposed to start framing late next week due to rain delays from last week

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Foundation in and backfill done.

 

Today they finished up backfilling and the steel is on site. I am hoping the framing package shows up tomorrow so they can start framing on Friday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



 

UPDATE

 

 

Poured the footer today.. I hope the 4 inches of water doesn't compromise the soil strength under the concrete. I am pretty sure that it wont be an issue but it is a bit concerning I would be really unhappy if I end up with un even settling due to poor soil conditions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They started digging today!! Now I'm getting excited... looks a lot bigger than on the site plan although it will shrink a bit when they backfill.. This is about 2 thirds dug  lots of clay in that hole. So much for a paver patio.
